Method
How this index is built
- Source. Visa-policy tables for each nationality on Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0), which cite government and airline sources. Retrieved October 15, 2026.
- Categories. Visa-free (incl. freedom of movement), eTA (electronic authorisation, no visa), visa on arrival, eVisa, visa required, entry banned.
- Access score. Count of destinations in the first three categories. Passports are ranked by score; equal scores share a rank.
- Limits. Rules change often, and conditions apply (stay length, purpose, onward ticket, prior visas). Crowd-edited sources can lag official changes. This index shows entry access, not residency, work rights or quality of life.
